smc PENTAX-DA 16-45mm F4 ED AL

I'm in the field with Pentax-DA 16-45mm lens. Absolutely love all about it, the look, feel of it in my hand. It is sharp and with very good contrast full-open throughout entire zoom range. Internal focusing is fast, quiet and accurate. Awkward is how lens barrel extends by some 1⅓ inches at 16mm focal length and contracts at 45mm focal length. Negative aspects? There's slight CA (yellow-blue fringe) at its widest 16mm end in some shooting conditions and 67mm filter thread that could be quite expensive for some creative filters. Slim filters are suggested to reduce vignetting. Speaking of filters, front element of the lens isn't rotating and PF (and other creative filters) are easy to use. Lense hood has removable part to rotate PF with the hood on.

DOF full open is deep and no matter how I wanted to show bokeh, shooting SUV monsters I always got at the near hyperfocal 3 meters and sharp to infinity. For some reason I chose to stand little too far away from large cars that I perhaps should. Anyway I quickly got bored at this car trade and when somebody paged me elsewhere, I left...
